foodie friday: homemade pizza

Whenever I'm looking for a fast + easy dinner, pizza is one of my go-to's.  While I love traditional meat pies, I also love taking fresh toppings and putting a creative twist on them.  Whenever I spotted these topping ideas, Jasmine and I decided to give some a try.

We used pita bread for the crust--just throw on the toppings and bake for a few minutes! Easy as pie (sorry, I couldn't help myself).

Our toppings:
Apple + provolone
Shredded asparagus + pesto
Pepperoni + avocado
Brie, honey, + grape

This entire spread took roughly 20 minutes, including prep and bake time.  Enjoy!
